We are adopting from China and Ethiopia. We started our journey about two years ago with our China adoption, and we have been logged in with China since 11/08/06 with a very long wait ahead of us. Our almost fifteen years of marriage has produced no children, so we are ready for a family! Our four cats and new puppy form our furry family.
I want Nicholas to have a record of our journey towards his adoption! We are ready to send in our paperwork in the next few weeks (we hope). Our main obstacle right now is the processing of the I-171H which will be at 8 weeks on Monday.
I cannot wait to get our dossier completed. It is almost done! Right now, our agency is placing infants very quickly. We are going to dinner with some friends of ours who recieved their match this week! A ten week old baby boy! Their dossier was in Ethiopia for only 6 hours before they received their call. Unbelievable. We are going to celebrate with them tonight. They are also adopting from China, so our families will be very similar. Hooray!
